Robert Craig Morgan, the actor who played him in the first five
series of Grange Hill. While some of Robert's co-stars went on
to further their acting careers and become household names,
Robert turned his attentions to backstage work and now runs a
smallholding in Ireland, where he has lived for the past five
years.

Paul had been introduced to the comedy double act of Patrick
Fyffe and George Logan - HINGE & BRACKET - in the summer of 1976
and was inspired by this extremely clever female impersonation,
where the line between reality and make-believe became blurred.
He saw many of their live performances
over the next twenty-five years, met Patrick on numerous
occasions, and in 1985 Dame Hilda Bracket wrote the Foreword to
one of Paul's book

An old friend of mine is Dudley Savage - who
was a Cinema Organist for over 60 years and
who introduced and played a Radio Programme
of requested music for people ill in
hospital or at home for about 30 years!
With a friend of mine called Bill, we
decided that we ought to issue a definitive
set of recordings of his work - since at the
age of 88 he no longer plays and is in a
care home.
After a long negotiation with the BBC we
have succeeded in getting the rights and the
result is that we are about to issue a
double CD set of his music. The contents I
am sure will appeal to all the "Dear Ladies'
fans - music from the 20s, 30s, 40s etc.

The vocals on the CD are by myself. The music and
CD was made for me by Addie
Harper, who is an accomplished musician. The drums were played
by Chris Duncan. And the graphics were done by Drew Robertson.
The CD was made in Caithness, Scotland, UK. It is
manufactured by Harp recordings, La Coruna, Thurso Road, Wick,
Caithness, Scotland.

My style of music is a country ,gospel style of
music. The songs on my CD were taken from the Gaither gospel music,
they are American gospel singers, who are excellent singers.
The music on the CD means a lot to me as a committed
Christian, It tells of Jesus love for us and how He came to die on
the cross for our sins. I wanted to make the CD because I got a lot
of encouragement from all of my family to do it, and my husband John
was delighted I did it. My mum went to Addie Harper and asked would
he do this with me. I got the CD made for my grandmother, which she
heard and enjoyed before she died of cancer, I miss her very much. I
also made the CD because I wanted it to be comfort to all who hear
it.
I would also like to thank Paul Dunford for
encouraging me to do this music review, and for his kindness and
friendship.

Steve Allen, John Warrington, Warren, Martyn, Steve The Pilot & Andy all
went to Thai Nice for a lovely night out. We finally Met David & Vid the
owners. If you want a great night out we recommend going there.

Firstly may I say a massive thank you for
providing endless joy to me with the superb Hinge & Bracket site. No wonder
it is officially recognised by George and Evadne! I am delighted with the
range of CD / DVD's too and an order will be following soon from me!
Secondly, I run the official Anthony Newley
Society (Click on Picture below to visit it) - over 2,500 members worldwide
- and would love to try to get in touch with George talk to him about the
show the dear ladies recorded at the BBC with Tony for a future article in
the Newley publication.
Finally my fond memories of the 7 times I saw
the dear ladies in full performance. My most memorable was at the Grand
Theatre, Wolverhampton. It was around the time that Dame Hilda's
autobiography came out. I bought the book after the show and went round to
the stage door in the hope I might catch a glimpse. I did more than that!
After only half an hour both George and Patrick appeared and spent 20
minutes chatting to me - Patrick signed my book as Dame Hilda of course -
and both signed my programme in true Evadne and Hilda style. Treasured
pieces of memorabilia and fond memories.
